Ok lah.. the least I can do is to wish those who have dropped by and who are reading this.. a Merry X'mas.
If you're feeling the festive spirit.. that is good. If not, don't drown yourselves in utter despair. At least save a little smile somewhere in the corner just in case you'll need to flash it out.
Would like to read all your blogs.. and drop a comment or three.. and do a little bit of other stuffs on my own blog.. but.. connection's not too good.
CSI.. anyone a fan of that series? Think I'll pass for now.
I'll head off to my needed horizontal activity pretty soon.
Ta!

Somewhere...
I will find...
my peace of mind...
my source of contentment.
On the recent Saturday, went out with cousin and later met up with some other friends at.. you can see where in the photos. Ahh.. it's been awhile.. if only I could go as far as my eyes can take me.. hmm.
I'm not missing so much of the place now. Good cause I've got a lot of that going on in the past, present, and you know what's the third. Packing saga II - didn't need to blog much about that. Just that I wish it didn't spoil my last moments there.
I'm at home now. But why don't I feel home?
Not so much to say this time.
Home.

A Typical StopOver
I'm back here at the same place. Only at a different spot.
...
Now, and for quite a period of time..
I'm..
back to all the heat and humid.
back to a land where I don't want to be at yet. Almost.
Home.. touching down at quarter to five.
No delays, please.
I know I'm always the slow and late one.
But, please, not the flight.
I'd rather arrive there on time than wait, sit, and sulk.

Packing Saga I
This is bad.
I got these whole load of things to bring back and I can't get my mind straight. The sight of it twirls me up with a little madness.
What was I thinking? Bringing the whole of Thailand back to Sabah, Malaysia??
Lorena dear.. you have got to be kidding me.
How am I gonna pack in my stuffs that I had left behind when I left this place about 1 1/2 year ago?
Silly you (as in me me). I am cursing myself now.
Fabric, leather (unauthentic perhaps), liquid. Of papers and all that kimchi (meant to replace "and all that jazz"). Fragility. Perfection.
This should never be the reason to spoil a week-long getaway.. packing sessions that gets to your nerves.
You know - or maybe you don't - all that trying to fit in the little stuffs here and there into or in between the other stuffs? Hectic. Mind torturing to even let it pass your thoughts.
I shall resume with all the effort after posting this up.
*tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk*

The Start Of A New Week
What can I say? I'm not the slightest bit bored with my stay here. Not yet.
Sigh.
Anyway.. but not exactly anyway.. lemme spill snippets of the day's events.
Earlier today, met up with two friends at BKK. It was nice to have come over to their place which I had been eager to see even before I flew over here. Had breakfast together which was all good. Thanks Amy and Roy for inviting us over ;)
Later in the afternoon, met with another friend who came up from behind me with her first words, "Don't touch that!"
Ha!
And so there was the buying of this + that and these + those, and the occasional, "Get or not?". Got special discounts thanks to Shimona ;)
The company was great.
I guess you can tell what I'm feeling at the moment.
I'm doing my countdown of days - or more so - hours to go before.....
=(

A Morning Like This
I woke up this morning and took a quick look at the time display thinking it was the actual time over here.
I forgot that I didn't reset the time on my hp.
I got out of bed, anyway, only to fully realize later that I was an hour early.
No.
I didn't get back to bed.
Well.. let's cut the intro and shift to these below.
I already know that I'll miss today.
This Saturday morning.
Hmm.. the rest of today.

A Splattering That ~
the day before yesterday...
on one fine sunny morning + afternoon...
with a little dab of the chill breeze...
lightly playing with the senses of the skin...
these happenings came to picture...
After a good 15-minute ride (or so) at a steady 60km/hr, we arrived at our destination. Here looking away at the road way, sits Julie and Ivonne.
And first to come to the table, my craved-for-beverage, Cha Yen (Cold Thai Tea). Over-sweetened but ahh!.. who cares. It's not served the same way back home. Attack and Savor!
Let's not miss out on that bowl serving of green noodles + beef. Would have preferred though if the meat was a little more cooked. Main tahan only lah.
My Thai meal combo. Aroi na!
Chili paste. I can't exactly define the taste of it. Tolerable to the taste buds.
Helloo to the Som Tum.
Proof of my highest appreciation to the Cha Yen. Yes, with the ice-cubes too =P
Once the rightful owner ;)
Ya lah.. ok, it's me. I shy away from the camera, ok. Ahh.. those pretty trios.
Thanks Dee for taking the pics =)
Later at the sunflower field...
Aha! Another bee buzzing by. See not only me likes them sunflowers. These little fellas like it too =P
Now time to get all the more acquainted with the flowers.
Shine and smile as bright as the flowers. Tings!
Ha! I need to steal some photos from her. Don't worry, I will do all the proper acknowledging.
If the sunflower had that crown of glory like humans, I can imagine its hair gloriously blowing away against the wind.. heh.
And of course, my dears, we still need this to get back. What.. you expect us to fly all the way back?
More happenings came about at the later part of the day. Ahh.. too lazy to post up the rest of the photos. By the way, you still up to more of them photos?
I don't think so.

Here goes random snapshots of what went on.....

HelloNess!!
Bye Celcom for now! And welcome to that red smile!
Damn. I'm happy. And I don't want this to end so soon.
No. Not just yet.
If time could be bought.. if it could stretch a little longer.. just a little more than that 24.. I would buy it.. if I could.
But I can't.

Awake
Yup.. eyes still wide open.. by force of course.
Should really be retiring for the day. I mean, heck, it was one eventful day. I meant.. yesterday. Guess I'm still deliriously trapped in the previous day's events.
Sleep. Stop with the blogging. Just go to sleep.
Go.
Think I should do just that. Sleep.
Might extend this entry later.. in a few hours from now.. after being so sleep deprived.
Now, go already, ok.
Good morning to me! It's a special morning greeting for me ;)
I've decided to extend this entry.
Do take note that I did not just wake up. Already took my shower, ate my breakfast, listened to some tunes (and still), chatted with two good friends (I just like mentioning 'good friends', don't I?), and I obviously, have been online.
I'm loving today. From the moment I woke up. I wish I can say that to myself more often.
All is good for now.
And, Shimona.. yes, ok.. I've finally succumbed. After 1 year plus, I've finally decided to join "MukaBuku". If you want to know what I meant by that in English, look up "Muka" and "Buku" (go online malay-english dictionary lah).
I will not be addicted to it. Full stop.

Portal
Sitting down.. feet rested on the surface of the floor.. I wait.
Waiting for the time to come knocking at the door.
And here I am.. still waiting. Because that is all I can do for now.
Wait.. and just think in between ;)

A Friday Night ~
Yay! I'm online! And this post is a lil different this time cause I'm writing it at night.. outside, but still inside - in a way (you'll have to figure that out yourselves). The mood, which I'm aware of, seems to be a lil different as well. I don't know. Maybe it's just because of the fact that I'm busy typing this post at this time of the day.
I'm such in a swell mood tonight.. Mmmm
Why wrong 'kah' to feel that way??
Up above me, the sky's pretty clear. Hmm.. but no signs of the trios like the one Vivian blogged about. Mine eyes did not just looked up above on this night. Had been.. for the past nights since I knew. Hmmph
Friday.. Friday.. Friday..

Where In The World?!
Yeah.. like where is my copy of November's HealthToday? I've been waiting and waiting - and now impatiently - but still no signs of it (or even its shadows lurking by). Did some culprit from the post office or somewhere there, suddenly decided that, "Oh, I think Lorena doesn't need her copy this time" or "Maybe, I'll just snatch this away.. no one will catch me".
Sialan seribu kali!! (It just simply means, "Damn".)
I'm sure I haven't received it yet cause if I had, than why am I still waiting?
Grrr.
Yeah, I think I'm ready to sharpen some blades now.
*Renovation works will be going on beginning tomorrow. Cannot post nonsense in my blog. So sad.*

Here I Was
Long time ago in Bethlehem..... so the blogger tale begins.....
I, Lorena, went to this place and learned something I never knew before.
Do take note that the pictures displayed here are not in any particular order. I like randomness.
No one is allowed to set foot on the grass. You will know what I mean in a short while. So, being the 'good citizen' that I am (out of fear, I suppose), I obliged and therefore, the incomplete view of the flag and everything else which pretty much spoiled the whole picture.
The small white area there amidst all that well-trimmed grass, is suppose to resemble the continent of Australia. I don't have the true eye of a photographer, so please forgive the short-sightedness of the photo captures.
Now that below is literally translated as, "Help don't step me later I die". Compare the rendered language and the painted words below: 7 and 7. Ok.
Extra note: This explains why most of the times, we M'sians speak in a nature that is so "directly translated". I love that fact some of the times and despise it greatly for moments that trigger it.
Here goes a blurry shot. Proud of it, I am. No need to feel "shame one".
I have no idea why I had to take this shot at such a distance. Them flags are almost forgotten. Just a mere background. Unintentionally.
This passage of white pillars and untamed vines leads to the last partition/division of this place, which obviously of course, I failed to capture. All in all, there are 4 different partitions/divisions, each holding a unique tale and scene of their own.
Love these flowers. So people, give me these, not red or white or pink roses. Any more colors that I forgot to include??
Beautifully crafted words both in look and meaning.
Three different flags hail proudly against the blow of the wind - Sabah, my home state, the flag of the UK, and Malaysia, the name that represents her 13 states.
And this.. a golden hope, kept and treasured in a chest of dreams.
Now.. the greatest mistake that I made was.. I didn't take a picture of the main entrance to this place. That.. I forgot whether I deliberately chose not to or whether it simply slipped my mind.
Anyhow, you can look up more on this on the links below if you're tingling to soak yourself with more info of this memorial site ;)

The pictures here are far better than the ones I took and the descriptions given here gives you a better picture of the place.

Like, GOSH. I can't believe that I actually took an hour plus to do this post.
